From North Dallas area, Take I-35E south through downtown Dallas.  Take Hwy 67 (exit 423A )south towards Cleburne for about 40 miles.  After going under I-35W, you will  continue on Hwy 67 towards Cleburne. Be sure you take 67 BUSINESS towards Cleburne and NOT towards Glenrose. It is a right exit and if you miss it, you'll do several turn arounds to get back to 67 Business South.  Take Business 67 for approx 4 1/2 miles. Turn left on Main Street following the signs for 174 South for approx 20 miles. You will cross the Brazos River and then 3 more miles.  Take a left on to Hwy 56 south. Total mileage from 174 on 56 to the entrance of The Canyons is approx 14 miles.  Here are some landmarks on 56 to help you know where you turn - You will go through Kopperl, pass over Steel Creek, pass over Cedron  Creek.  There is a convenience store named the Lota Wata on the right hand side.  About 7 miles after the Lota Wata, turn left into the entrance of The Canyons.    From the entrance you will turn left on the 3rd street to the left - Lakeshore Dr. ie CR 1526.  Follow this road and you will come to a Y at the top of the hill.  Follow the road to the left.  You will pass a Community Center on the left and Lakeshore Lodge is next on the left.  There is a circular drive in the front. 

From Downtown Fort Worth, Take Wilshire Blvd/TX 174 (exit #37) South towards Cleburne and stay on 174 for approx 39 miles.  You will cross the Brazos River and then 3 more miles.  Take a left on to Hwy 56 south. From I-35, exit 368A at Hillsboro, turn right onto Texas Hwy. 22. Continue through Hillsboro (past the courthouse) toward Whitney (appx. 12 miles) on Hwy 22. Continue on Hwy 22 going across the dam to Laguna Park.  Proceed through Laguna Park approximately 3.3 miles and turn right at the blinking light onto Hwy 56. Follow Hwy 56 exactly 6 miles and turn right into the entrance of The Canyons.  From the entrance you will turn left on the 3rd street to the left - Lakeshore Dr. ie CR 1526.  Follow this road and you will come to a Y.  Follow the road to the left.  You will pass a Community Center on the left and Lakeshore Lodge is next on the left.  There is a circular drive in the front.

From the Temple area or points south, travel north on I-35 to Temple. In Temple take exit 299 and turn left at the light.  Go over I35 on Loop 363 until you come to Hwy 36.  Turn left onto Hwy 36 until you come to Hwy 317. Turn right (north) onto 317 and continue north through the towns of Moody, McGregor, and Crawford, until 317 ends in the town of Valley Mills. Turn left onto Highway 6. Go about 3 blocks, then turn right onto FM 56. Continue on 56 about 18 miles until it ends at Highway 22. Turn left onto 22 and go 3.3 miles and turn right at the blinking light onto Highway 56. From the Houston area, you can travel north on Highway 6 to the town of Valley Mills, then turn right onto FM 56. Continue on 56 about 18 miles until it ends at Highway 22.  Turn left onto Highway 22 and go 3.3 miles and turn right at the blinking light onto Highway 56. Proceed on Highway 56 exactly 6 miles and turn right into the entrance of The Canyons.  From the entrance you will turn left on the 3rd street to the left - Lakeshore Dr. ie CR 1526.  Follow this road and you will come to a Y at the top of the hill.  Follow the road to the left.  You will pass a Community Center on the left and Lakeshore Lodge is next on the left.  There is a circular drive in the front.  Or travel north on I-45, using a map to cross over to I-35 at any point south of Hillsboro. Then follow the above I-35 directions.
